Engineers without Borders’ Conference on Catalan experience on operators’ partnerships and Human Right to Water

The conference will take place from 9:30am to 2pm at Pati Llimona (Regomir 3, Barcelona)

Next Wednesday 20 November, the Catalan Chapter of Engineers without Borders will organize the conference “Public and Communities’ alliances to guarantee the Human Right to Water and Sanitation (HRWS) in a context of climate emergency”, in collaboration with the Government of the Province of Barcelona, the Catalan Development Cooperation Fund, the Spanish Association of Public Operators, the Association of Municipalities and Entities for Public Water and the Global Water Operators Partnerships’ Alliance (GWOPA). Experiences of cooperation between Catalan operators and operators from Latin America and Arab countries will show how those partnerships can help in enhancing the role of HRWS in defense of water as a common good, which is especially crucial in the current context of climate emergency.

The conference targets local governments, water and sanitation operators and civil society organizations from Catalonia and other Provinces of Spain which are interested in engaging in such international cooperation partnerships.
